THIS IS A MUST READ!
At Clark's what we do best is train young people how to be successful by giving them a sound educational structure.  We've been successfuly training young people since 1976. We're little and we do it right!     How do you do it right?  By going slow and constantly reinforcing sound fundamentals.    For the size of our gym we have a success rate that is outstanding with more than 50% of our team members holding State Championship Titles.   Our teams have won four Maryland Championship titles and nearly always place in team competitions.

We also look forward to new programs.  We are the first gym on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to offer Team Gymnastics.  Our TeamGym squad in it's  first season placed 3rd at the USAG National Championship.

Are we exclusive?   NO!  Many of the athletes that we  train are just average kids that work hard to achieve their goals.   Our strength is that we are small and can provide our athletes with plenty of individual attention. Participation in all our competitive programs is by invitation of the coaching staff.  Interested gymnasts may apply for participation and may have a tryout.

WORLD CLASS OPPORTUNITIES

Our competitive team have competed in nearly every corner of the United States.  From Florida, to Washington, to Hawaii, and also the heartland including Texas, and Oklahoma.    We have also traveled overseas for competitions and training exchanges with friends in England, and Russia so that our gymnasts can appreciate other cultures.  We also have a sister gym in England - The Redcar Gymnastics Club which we have close ties to.

In our travels our team member have met countless Olympians like Nadia Comaneci, Bart Conner,  Nastia Liukin, Carly Patterson, Mikhail Voronin, and others.     Lastly we have been fortunate to bring Olympic Legends to our gym for our gymnasts to meet such as  Vladimir Artemov, Aurelia Dodre', Lisa Grayson, Olga Korbut, Peter Vidmar, Morgan White, Blaine Wilson, and this year Kerri Strug attended our Team Expo.

All these opportunities are available to every member of our team.  This means that our team members have a better understanding of the world in general and this makes them better citizens.

WHERE WE'RE GOING!!!

We have been very successful in advancing our graduating gymnasts to Collegiate Gymnastics Teams. This is a very important consideration for any parent enrolling their child in gymnastics.  You are making an investment in your child's future.  You may already be putting money away in college savings accounts, etc.  If you are then our program can be an important part of your plan for your child's future.

FACT:  50% of all children now attend college after graduating from High School.
FACT:  The percentage of gymnast that attend college is
much higher.
FACT: Competitive gymnasts often receive collegiate academic grants or scholarships
FACT:  A majority of the gymnast on our team are straight "A" students.  In fact four of our most recent team graduates were #1 or #2 in their graduating class

Being part of a collegiate program is the ultimate gymnastics experience.  The parents of Collegiate gymnasts enjoy the assurance that when their child goes off to college he/she will not be alone.  They will have 15-20 new brothers and sisters-team-mates, that will be an outstanding support system for them.  Friends that will also last a lifetime are made there.

ARTISTIC COMPETITIVE PROGRAM

Women's Level 4-10
Men's Level 4-10

Artistic Gymnastics is the crown jewel of all Sports.  In Women's Artistic their are four events- Vault, Uneven Parallel Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise.  In Men's Artistic there are six events - Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar.  We have trained Maryland Champions in all these events.

THE COMPULSORY PROGRAM - LEVEL 4 TO 7 is the heart and soul of our program.  At the compulsory levels all the gymnasts perform the same routines.  This is the best system in the world and every gymnast in the U.S. gets a solid base to build upon.  Level 4 is the entry level for beginning competitive gymnasts in Maryland and is the heart of our program.      The required skills become more difficult as the girls advance through Level 5, 6, and to Level 7 which is a compulsory-optional Level.

THE OPTIONAL PROGRAM - LEVEL 8 TO 10

In optional gymnastics the coach may compose routines to fit their gymnast's particular personality.  Level 8 is Novice Optional and Level 9 and 10 are the most advanced.  We have had gymnasts in all these Levels and several of our gymnasts have advanced to Collegiate Programs.
